A Filipino strategy game

History, separated from Henerals fiction

The Game of the Generals, also known as Salpakan, is a Filipino hidden-rank board game created by Sofronio H. Pasola Jr. The organization publishes a first-person history attributed to Ronnie Pasola Jr. Its introductory note and narrative do not assign every early milestone the same date, so this summary does not select or reconcile that disputed chronology.

Its lasting idea is elegant: all pieces share a movement pattern, identities stay hidden from the opponent, and combat turns rank knowledge into deduction. Henerals keeps that core board, army and challenge relationship while stating its own online clock and draw policies separately.
