The rules for using Henerals
The service
These terms apply to Henerals, operated by Nio Martinez in the Philippines. Henerals is an independent adaptation of Game of the Generals. The public website describes the game; the web app provides practice and connected play. Henerals for iPhone and iPad is available on the App Store. Android is in closed beta; platform availability is listed on the download page.
The iPhone and iPad app is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). The Henerals service terms below also cover accounts, fair play and the service features you use.
Accounts and fair play
You must be at least 13 to create an account, and if you are under 18 you should use Henerals with a parent or guardian's permission. Keep your sign-in credentials private and use an account you are entitled to access. Choose a username, biography and avatar that do not impersonate another person or include abusive or unlawful content.
Follow the Henerals rules. Do not manipulate ratings or experience, collude to manufacture results, exploit bugs, interfere with other players' connections, or use unauthorized assistance in online games. Report suspected problems through the available report controls or hello@henerals.com. Do not include passwords, sign-in codes or unrelated sensitive information in a report.
Gifts and invite missions
Enabled gift codes, giveaways and invite missions award account items rather than money. The applicable code or mission states its eligibility and limits. Gifts and rewards may be revoked to correct an administrative error or address abuse. Revoking a gift does not remove an independent valid purchase. Mission-only rewards cannot be obtained through ordinary gift codes or giveaways.
Matches and availability
Match clocks, setup deadlines, disconnections and win conditions are governed by the selected mode and published rules. Practice does not award online ratings or experience. Development changes, maintenance and outages can affect availability. We do not promise uninterrupted play or a particular rank, rating or result. To the extent the law allows, Henerals is provided as it is and as available, and we are not liable for indirect losses arising from play or from service interruptions.
Player content and safety
You retain your rights in content you submit. You allow Henerals to store, process and display it as needed to provide the features you use, including public profiles and private safety reports. Use the block and report controls when needed. If an account breaks these terms or the rules, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close the account, and we may keep related safety records. If you believe an action was a mistake, contact hello@henerals.com; we review such messages but cannot promise a particular outcome or timeframe.
Optional purchases and advertising
The game remains free. Available native store products can include Walnut Board and Remove Ads Forever as separate one-time purchases, permanent complete cosmetic sets, and an optional Henerals Pro subscription. A complete set includes a board finish, piece material and piece back sticker. Walnut does not remove ads. Remove Ads Forever removes in-app advertising and does not include Walnut. No purchase changes rules, rank strength, clocks, matchmaking priority or concealed information.
The native store shows its current localized price and availability before payment. US base prices are $1.99 for Walnut, $10.99 for Remove Ads Forever, $3.99 each for Field Command and Habi complete sets, and $2.99 monthly or $24.99 annually for Pro. Pro renews automatically at the displayed period and price unless cancelled through the store that bills you; period changes apply at renewal. Pro includes ad-free access, Walnut, the Night Watch complete set and personal completed-game insights while entitled. Independent permanent purchases and gifts remain owned when Pro expires. Free history, replay and rating graphs remain available.
Purchases attach to the Henerals account signed in at checkout. Sign in to that same account and use Restore purchases to recover verified access. Apple or Google handles payment authorization, subscription management and refund requests under its applicable terms. A verified refund can remove the corresponding benefit. Deleting a Henerals account does not automatically cancel a store subscription, refund a purchase or transfer ownership; manage subscriptions in the originating store. This does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
Free accounts and guests may see mobile lobby banners and occasional full-screen ads between completed games. Web play may show banners only in unused desktop margins, subject to Google approval. Advertising and purchase availability vary by platform, build and store approval. The Privacy policy explains frequency limits, ad data and consent controls. Web checkout is unavailable; verified mobile account benefits apply when you sign in on the web.
Privacy, changes, law and contact
The Privacy policy explains the handling of personal information. We will show the effective date of these terms and explain material changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without limiting any consumer protection rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.
